Paul Alan Shenton

Paul peacefully passed away at the Countess of Chester Hospital on Saturday 9th August 2025 aged 69 years.

Dearly loved Husband to Sue. Dad to Matthew, Robert and Adam. Grandad to Arlo, George and Sam. Brother to Sylvia and Keith.

Funeral service and Committal to take place at Chester Crematorium on Friday 5th September 2025 at 11:20am

Heartfelt condolences to all Paul’s family. I worked with Paul for over 30 years during which time he became a good friend and he was a true gentleman. I loved our games of golf and how Paul would miss the easiest putts to protect his handicap. Paul will be missed by so many God bless rest in peace

I’ve know Paul for many, many years and had the pleasure of working with him at the council too. The best boss I ever had. What an absolute gentleman he was. I will miss bumping into him and his lovely wife Sue on their walks into Chester. My sincere condolences to all the family.

Was a pleasure to have spent time with tall paul over the years. I have many a fond memory with paul, on the lads stag doo’s and football drinks. I am so sorry for your loss and I am here if any of you need anything at all at this difficult time. Sending love Liam and Siobhan

Tall Paul was definitely one of the cooler dad’s I’ve known… Always smiling with a great sense of humour & always had witty comebacks. Myself Matty & Paul had some very competitive rounds of golf that were never short of banter & sarcasm on every hole. I’ll never forget your Eagle on the dogleg on the third at Sanfield. You smoked your second shot across the ditch & onto the green. I confidently said it’d gone over the back. Paul give the smuggest look ever when we got to the green & it was in the hole. (I can’t say what I said) You’ll be missed so much. X
