Matthew unexpectedly passed away at the Countess of Chester Hospital on 11th July 2026, aged 48 years.
Dearly loved Husband to Lisa, adored Dad to Tylan, Cayden, Euan and Keeva.
Son to the late Colin and the late Barbara.
Brother to Stacey, Kelly, Andrew, Gary and the late Mark.
Matt devoted so much of his life to Tarporley Victoria JFC and to grassroots football. His unwavering commitment, endless generosity and selfless dedication helped shape not only our club, but the lives of countless children, families and volunteers within our community.
Matt will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Matt’s service will take place on Thursday 6th August 2026 at 9:30am at Northop Crematorium.

Matt was such a gentle soul. Although I only had the privilege of knowing him during my time at Tarporley Vics, he was always our number one supporter and you could see his love for the club in everything he did. He made it all possible for us, helping with equipment and generally just being a supportive figure. He will be missed dearly and all my love goes to his family.
